Disaster Relief slideshow…

One of the things that keeps us loving our time on the road, is the freedom that it gives us to drive to different places that have been hit with some sort of natural disaster, and then to help clean-up and rebuild afterwards.  Vaughn, and the kids that are old enough,  love to volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse, and team up with other volunteers from around the nation to help homeowners try to pick up the pieces after a disaster.

We have done this for several years now, and have met the most incredible people, both in the homeowners and the other volunteers.
This is a slideshow that Vaughn put together to share with our church back home.  The photos are all from this past spring, and are cleanup efforts after ice storms in Augusta, Georgia and High Point, North Carolina, as well as tornado cleanup in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

…and, just because you want to know (right?) – my fav pics are Bethy showing off her muscles, and the bowling alley (you’ll know where it was by the pic)…  :)

Our goal in sharing this, is to encourage you to let God lead you.  He put our crazy show on the road (we’ve traveled fulltime with all 12 of our kids, and for over 5 years), and He gave us the opportunity/privilege/passion to serve others in this capacity.  We can’t wait to see what He has in store for our next 5 years!    :)
